There are many reasons why people seek therapy. Some need to respond to unexpected changes in their lives, while others seek self-exploration and personal growth. I can assist you in getting a perspective on problems, addressing unresolved issues, and untangling self-destructive patterns, which will help you create solutions that promote healing, growth, and connection in your life. To support and counsel individuals, I integrate a foundation of Jungian theory, neuroscience, somatic psychology and other successful modalities like DBT and CBT. I work with you to explore what might be held in the unconscious self and discover what may hinder you from living authentically and freely. I take into account the connection between your soul, body, and mind as we explore the deeper parts within you. In this way, we can gather insight that can lead to a renewed sense of wholeness and balance. The particular way I work has successfully helped many people with symptoms such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD (complex and intergenerational), grief, loss, life transitions, and support for personal growth.

Couples Counseling
Being involved in an intimate relationship is considered one of the most rewarding experiences in life, but it can also be the most challenging. While the benefits of having a companion and partner in life are numerous, often couples find themselves struggling and are unable to maintain a fulfilling and healthy relationship. If you are experiencing some of the following, there is help for you and your partner:
* Fighting about the same issues over and over.
* Communication problems that lead to misunderstandings, hurt, and anger.
* An unfulfilling sex life.
* Your partner pushes your buttons, appearing as though they want to hurt you.
* Conflicts with in-laws or extended family.
* Issues around infidelity.
* Feeling alone, abandoned, or uncared for in the relationship.
* Feeling attacked and criticized by your partner.
Chances are you have worked hard to resolve these issues on your own, but have been unable to change your circumstances. I will work with you to get clear results so that you can understand the dynamics that lock you and your partner into the patterns that keep you both unhappy. Every couple is unique but there will be some guiding principles in our work together.
When we first meet, we will begin to explore your unique patterns of relating and bring to light your particular patterns. Some patterns will be strengths, but other patterns are probably contributing to your conflicts. These unhealthy relationship dynamics can make you feel alone, abandoned, disconnected, and criticized. When these unhealthy interactions are discovered, I can help you to reorganize your old ways of relating so you can have the fulfilling and satisfying relationship you really want.
Another important factor I will be considering when we work together is the type of family systems you grew up in. Quite frequently, the problems in your relationship may mirror similar issues to ones you might have had in your families you grew up in. Couples counseling can help to become aware of these patterns so real change and balance can occur.
